So last week I made it back to the States. The week before that I was in Norway for two weeks. Here's a map just to refresh your geographical memory.
I went with my friend Fawn. We flew in to Oslo, then took about a 7 hour train to Trondheim, halfway up the country. Stayed there for two days and one night, then trained another 7 hours or so north do Bodø, stayed there for three days two nights, then had a rental car and took a ferry to the Lofoten archipeligo, and drove and camped for a few days, then drove to the mainland to Narvik, and stayed there for about 3 nights. And finally took a 17 hour train back down to Oslo to fly out.
Here is Fawn, Ying, and me, and Ying's son, Isak. He's half Norwegian, and half Chinese, and all cute. They live in Oslo.

ps- after being in Thailand for a year I was not prepared for "Summer in Norway" aka- it was really cold there, my Thai aunt gave me this jacket, and I had bought a sweater in France, and thats all I had to wear here. So thats why this outfit looks so familer.
Trondheim Cathedral
On the night train to Bodø, I snapped this out the window around 3 or 4 in the morning. It was very foggy along the way with the fjords and mountains.
Near Bodø, this is the second largest glacier in Norway, and I think its the lowest glacier in the world- only about 200 meters above sea level.
The glacier - Svartisen- up close, it was really cold and windy, and there was a waterfall just behind me, where the melted ice ran down into a lake in front of the glacier.
Lofoten. Rheine Mountain- its a missionary's legend to get to go here.
This was taken around 11:30pm. Still had a little of the midnight sun. We had set up our tents and weren't quite tired or ready for bed so we went for a drive.

Narvik!
We stayed at Fawn's college Norwegian teacher's ex-sister-in-law's cabin in the mountains, near the border of Sweden. It was very rocky and mossy there with a creek and lake nearby.
Cold damp, and high altitude- perfect for...wild BLUEBERRIES!
We made fresh blueberry compote to eat on Norwegian waffles.
Fawn's teacher, Solfrid, took us to this waterfall. She used to come here as a girl with her father, who would paint the waterfall.
Sly Red Fox
The cabin only had solar energy, and you had to fetch your water from the creek-thus there was not a shower, so we went down to the ice cold lake to wash our hair. This is my newly cleaned hair.
Kjetil, Eva, Alf, and Lee. We're eating on the porch. They had whale steaks, we had potatoes au gratin and salad, with blueberries in vanilla sauce for dessert.
